Sabah Trip 2014 : KK Town & Karambunai

Assalamualaikum lovelies,

It's been quite a while now since I last scribbled in this. Missing me? I bet NOT! 

I am still as malas as usual to write. Too many things to update but too lazy to do so. Laziness & me is not a new thing. A perfect combo I think! lol

I am in my Day 3 of my #90dayschallenge. Last time my diet went kaput cos too many cheating. Sangat tak berhemah tau. Went to Sabah and Langkawi. So hard to resist food when you went for vacay kan? Alasan sgt tau!

I'm gonna share with you about my trip to Sabah with my girls (Danee, Anis, Tommy and Kak Jah), celebrating Anis's last moment as a Bachelorette! She's getting hitched after Raya. Mind you that this is strictly-for-ladies trip. I got my permission to join the bandwagon so off we went for a 3-days-2-Nights trip.

Our flight was on 2 May 2014. Me and Danee were on the same flight while the rest flew with different airlines with different time. But our meeting point is the same. We boarded a car for 3 days (RM240). Our destinations would be Karambunai and Kundasang where we have made prior bookings for Nexus Karambunai and Kundasang Pine Resort.

I've always looked forward for this trip as we never had any trip as such together. We've been friends like 14 years now (since our MRSM days) and this trip will help to bring us together again like we used to during our teenage days. Now since that Danee and me are married, we barely see each other that often.

Our first pitstop before heading to Karambunai was of course Pasar Phillipines, where you can get all sort of souvenirs and dried seafood macam ikan bilis, udang kering etc. I bought some ikan bilis, udang kering and keropok amplang to bring home. Feeling mak2 sangat to buy those things. Hehe

Selesai urusan beli-belah so we headed to Nexus, Karambunai. I've been to Nexus once during my honeymoon trip back then in 2010. It took us nearly 1 hour to reach Karambunai from KK town. Thanks to Waze, it comes in handy.

The place was breathtaking. It was so serene that I feel like staying there forever. I booked 2 room (adjoined). Danee & me in 1 room while Anis, Tommy & Kak Jah in 1 room.

That night we went for dinner outside. Most reviews mentioned about Gayang Seafood. We wazed the place but got lost sampai area 1 Borneo. Then we tried again until we finally found it. Rupanya dekat je dengan our Hotel. The food was awesome. Orang memang super ramai and please expect delay. We ordered udang butter, steamed fish, chilli crab, kepah kam heong, sotong black pepper, garlic fried rice and 2 veges. Cost us nearly RM300 and we only pay like RM60 per head. Super cheap! I told them I wanna go again before we departed and all of them agreed! 

We checked out around 12.00pm and before we headed to Kundasang, we went to Borneo Spa for a 15-minute complimentary shoulder massage. The spa was amazingly beautiful and the massage was sangat sedap. Rugi tak register on the first day tu!

While waiting for the other girls to finish their turn, me & danee went to check-out and had a chance to snap around. So enjoy the pictures ok!

It's so sad to bid goodbye to Nexus Karambunai. Thank you for the great hospitality. I will surely come back!

BNM Annual Dinner 2013

Last night I attended the Bank's annual dinner 2013, held at the Grand Ballroom, One World Hotel, Damansara. The theme was Box Office Night. Since the ballroom couldn't hold up the almost 3k staff at one time, so the dinner will be held for 2 nights. I chose the 1st night though.

Saya pakai baju tak ikut theme pon. Just grab what I have in the closet. Mula2 macam taknak pegi sebab takde baju nak pakai. Ye lah kan. Baju glam sume mana nak muat dah skrg ni. Tapi belek punya belek baru saya tau ade this one caftan that I seldom wear. 

Biasa org pegi dinner soap pegi saloon make-up bagai tapi takyah la nak bazir mcm tu skali. Just make do of what make-up items you have, bukak youtube then tgk make-up tutorial. DIY je. Save la duit time2 segala bnda naik harga ni. 

This annual dinner was more or less the same like the previous years. We came for the food and entertainment. Haha. The Lady Boss of course la datang to officiate the event tapi beliau balik awal before the entertainment starts. Ada hal maybe. Untuk yang tak penah jumpa Lady Boss mesti diorg tak sabar nak tengok beliau dari dekat. Like celebrity starstruck. Ye la kan sapa tak kenal the person who signed the notes. I was like that before masa mula2 join Bank. Teehee

The emcee for the night was Harith Iskander and he is seriously one damn funny guy. We enjoyed having him around sebab gelak je the whole time. The entertainers were Misha Omar and Zainal Abidin. Though I like Misha Omar, dia madam tak panda sgt interact with the audience, which made her performance quite dull and boring, aside from her good and beautiful voice. However, Zainal Abidin was the real deal. I mean he was the real entertainer! Very good with the crowd and tak nmpk kekok to even make jokes with the VIPs. He sang his most famous song of "Hijau" and everybody was merrily singing along to the song. Memang superb sgt Zainal Abidin. Suara dia still the same and I was awed on how good he was while singing live! 

Since the theme was Box Office Night ada la jgk a few peeps yang wear the theme sebab ade hadiah untuk Best Dressed Table, Best Dressed Man & Woman. Grand prize lucky draw plak ade 3D2N holiday at Ayodhya Resort Bali. Saya macam biasa tak pernah nak lucky. So agak kecewa di situ.

Meriah sgt last night. Sebelum dewan bukak, while having cocktails, you can take picture at the Photo Booth mcm kat bawah ni. Ada photographers everywhere. Snap sana snap sini. Rasa macam red carpet award show kat Hollywood plak. Siap ade reporter macam Giuliana Rancic or Ryan Seacrest interviewing the attendees. Ala2 E! 

Nak dijadikan cerita, I wore my 5 inches wedges last night and masa nak jalan tu I kinda terpeleot and nasib baik smpt berpaut pada Hubster. Yang tak bestnya si so-called E! reporter tu nmpk & he came and interviewed me. Gila lah masuk dalam video kay. Malu bertingkek-tingkek. Haih. So I just act cool and smile away. Answered a few questions and ran away into the ballroom. Hahahaha

The food was chinese course. Sedap. Just like any other chinese courses you have in some hotels. Lepas show sume tu habis dalam pukul 12 mcm tu. Penat jugak but enjoy. Nasib baik esoknya Ahad. Bleh la rehat sikit. 

And so pagi tadi saya terbangun lambat.....

Musim Nikah Kawen

Nampaknya musim kenduri kahwin kembali bertandang. Bulan ni seingat saya paling ramai kawan2 dan sedara mara naik pelamin. Ironiknya, kahwin serentak pada hari yang sama. I've got 3 invites (KL and Kelantan) today, 2 on 16 Sept (both JB), 2 on 28 Sept (both Shah Alam) and 1 on 29 Sept. 

Harini saya hanya ke satu majlis sahaja. Majlis nikah Osman dan Sharina. Osman ni dulu satu department saya. Sangat baik orangnya. Dia buat housing loan applications for staff. Masa saya nak beli rumah dulu Man banyak tolong kami suami isteri. Very efficient cara keje beliau. Saya mesti pilih! #ehtetiba

Man ni kaki karok jugak. Seangkatan ngan Hubster yang suka nyanyi2 tu. So saya ni tukang ikut aje lah. Nyanyi? Kelaut!

Man suruh Hubster jadi one of the dulang boys. Hubster pon layankan aje. Lagipon Man kawan baik kami kat ofis. 

Nikah berlangsung di rumah pengantin perempuan kat Puchong. It was a very emotional moment. Lepas je Man jawab nikah and sah terus beliau nangis. Jarang orang lelaki nak nangis. Biasa kalau boleh nak terus lompat je kan lepas dah sah tu. Lembut jugak hati Man ni. Ye lah. Anak bongsu la katakan *jeling diri sendiri*. 

Alhamdulillah. Now Man dah selamat jadi suami orang. I am so happy for you, Man. I hope this marriage will be the beginning of your many beautiful tomorrows with Sharina. Insya Allah :)

And tak lupa buat sepupu saya, Epi Nordin yang sanding harini sorry sangat tak balik Pasir Mas tengok awak kawen. Congrats also to you and Hafiz on the new journey :)

Perut Sendat Hati Gembira

Ini cerita malam semalam. Beriftar di Carnaval Churrascaria, a Brazilian BBQ buffet restaurant, Damansara. Semua hidangan pakai skewer. Macam-macam ada. Untuk salad, veges, soup and veges dia hidang macam buffet biasa so that you could go and take whenever you want. Macam daging, kambing, ayam semua tu nanti dia akan datang from one table to another, hiriskan untuk kita. Serious sedap sangat. Paling saya suka mestilah grilled meat dan garlic meat. Pemakan daging tegar, stok karnivor. Haha

Ini tahun ketiga beriftar di sini dengan ex-rakan serumah merangkap classmates masa UITM dulu. Semua pun lawyers. Ade keje AGC, firm and also in-house counsel. Pendek kata semua budak hingusan and malas gi kelas dulu dah berjaya lah semuanya. Termasuklah saya. Berjaya ke??

Lepas UITM, saya memang tak join service. Sebab terikat dek biasiswa the Bank. Most of these peeps join service so they diorang selalu jumpa each other. Kalau nak berkumpul begini, time Ramadhan ajelah. Ini memang our yearly get together. Setiap tahun pasti berkumpul. Dulu ade juga makan di restaurant lain tapi sejak 3 tahun lepas masing2 mmg kena makan kat Carnaval ni. Entah ape jampi org kedai tu pakai. Minta dijauhkan.

Setahun sekali ni ajelah masa untuk hapdate antara satu sama lain like who's getting slimmer, fatter, where to go for holidays, etc etc. Memang gelak sepanjang masa, reminiscing our good old days masa UITM law school dulu.

Dan aktiviti yang mesti ada is of course lah camwhoring!! Then lepas tangkap gambar masing2 whatsapp dalam group, takpon terus update FB or Instagram. Haha

Oklah, kalau sesapa berhajat nak ke Carnavale Churrascaria tu ni alamat dia. Per pax dalam RM67 camtu. Memang puas hati sampai perut pon naik sendat.hehe
