Menu Lunch on Deepavali

Helllooo lovelies! Hope it's not too late to wish all my Indian friends a happy Deepavali.

Bestnya dok rumah time-time cuti macam ni. Bukan selalu ade masa nak bercuti kan. Nothing much to be done at home except for kemas2 ape yang patut kat umah ni. Al-maklum ler hujng minggu ni omak mentua den nak datang. Kena la bagi umah kemas sket ye dok? hehehe.

We had our lunch at home despite the invitation to join Encik Suami's bestfriends for eating out. I think since it's cuti time, we should just stay at home and enjoy every seconds of it. Betol tak? I think I have my point there. :) kekekeke !!

Maka mulalah akak bergoyang pinggul di dapur ye adik kakak sekalian. Today's menu sangat simple hokay. Dua lauk sudey..tak yah banyak2. Kang nanti membazir sape nak jawab?? Bukan ke membazir itu amalan syaitoooonn?? Sekian.

Lauk2 yang dihidangkan untuk santapan adalah sotong tepung crispy and also chicken sweet sour. Sedap sampai Encik Suami tak berkata2 masa makan. Hehehehe. Bahagianya bila suami cakap masakan saya sedap. Completely contented :).

Sweet Sour Chicken

Sotong Tepung Crispy

Kalo ade sesapa teringin nak try sweet sour chicken tu, meh sini saya ajarkan. Senang je. Kalo ikut cara-cara kat bawah ni gerenti jadi punyaaaa!!

Sweet Sour Chicken

Bahan-bahan

Fillet Ayam
1/2 inci halia
5 ulas bawang putih
Sos cili
Sos tomato
Sos tiram
Kicap manis
Tepung jagung
Lada hitam (ditumbuk hingga jadi serbuk)
Garam
Gula

Cara-cara Penyediaan

By the way, untuk mencantikkan hidangan, boleh la kalo nak letak timun dan buah tomato. Lagi nampak sedap kot. OKlah, selamat mencuba! Till the next post yah..bubbye!

Perihal Tentang Kasut

Let's share stories about shoes. Kalo bercerita tentang kasut, topik ni memang amat2 diminati oleh kaum Hawa especially. Ye lah kan, sape yang tak suka kasut?? Some people are obsessed towards shoes and I have a friend who is really into shoes. Kasut yang beliau pakai semuanya like 6 inches high. Gilak wa cakap luuuu...tapi beliau selamba jer berjalan dengan heels sedemikian rupa. Kalo akak yang pakai sure dah lama terjelepok dek nonnnn!!haha...

I myself can't deny the fact that I love shoes tapi bukan yang obses bangat yer...Sekadar suka untuk buat collection. Previously, I am not really into shoes. I'm more of a handbag person but lately since berkawan dengan seorang manusia bernama Ieka Kassim, maka saya pon terjebak jugaklah dengan aktiviti-aktiviti membeli-belah kasut ni. Haiyakkk!! Tak salah kan? kan? kan? I kinda like walking in heels because you can feel good and confident about yourself. Since diri ini dah memang sedia dilahirkan dengan ketinggian 163cm, maka kalo pakai heels dalam 4 inches tu pon dah rasa macam KLCC dah bila berdiri sebelah manusia-manusia kerdil dan katiks...oppss!!

Lately ni rasa macam dah tak kencang sangat dengan aktiviti membeli kasut ni. Mungkinkah keadaan ekonomi yang tidak mengizinkan? Mungkin! Lagipun, sekarang ni everytime nak beli kasut je mesti nak pikir manala nak sorok becos Encik Suami ni tak berapa gemar tengok bininya membazirkan duit membeli kasut sedangkan kat umah ni dah banyak kasut yang kebanyakannya tak sempat nak pakai pon. Pastu plak since we all ade satu kereta ni agak susah sket untuk menyorok kewujudan kasut2 yang baru dibeli. Kalo dulu, beli kasut jer bleh sorok kat bontot keta & Encik Suami takkan perasan pon yang kasut tersebut adalah new. And when he asked, "kasut baru ke yang? tak penah tgk pon?"...I will definitely give this answer back,"taklah...kasut lama tak pakai". He actually bought the story!! hahahaha. Sayang, if you read this, sorry yerr!! :)

Let me share with you some of my favourite shoes yang memang saya selalu lenjan ke office :

I don't have expensive shoes and I don't have cheap shoes either. Confused? What I mean is that I don't have Louboutin shoes but I always give priority to the quality of the shoes especially on the heels part, that it shldn't be wobbly when we walk. Thus, I will spend like RM100++ per pair of shoes and I wouldn't mind spend so much more if the shoes are really2 comfortable to wear. I love shoes from Lewre, Primavera & Clarks since they are super duper comfortable. Hush Puppies is OK too but sometime it is not.

If you ask me, do I have my dream shoes? Definitely my answer is YES!! I would want a Louboutin someday...(pffftt!!keep on dreaming, Nazifa!!) and also a Stuart Weitzman & Manolo Blahnik (I know, dreaming again!). Do you remember the movie Sex & the City? Remember the shoes which Carrie Bradshaw left in her closet of the new apartment which Mr. B bought? Yeah, the blue shoes are from Manolo Blahnik. Totally to die for!

The famous Manolo Blahnik from
Sex & The City

Christian Louboutin
cute ribbons!!

Christian Louboutin
Sexy Siren!!

Christian Louboutin
Nude Mary Jane..I like!

Christian Louboutin
Totally must-have!

Nice kaaaaann???? Kalo pegi office tu memang mak tak pakai la noksss!! Mau aku melecet kaki ni haaa... SO, if any of you guys happen to read my entry kali ni or even my blog (ade ke orang nak baca??), let us share each other's views on shoes. What type of shoes you guys like and all.

Hope to hear from you guys soon. Till then, tataaaaaa!!

Saturday Baking With Jee : Oreo Cheesecake

Last Friday, while browsing through the net I suddenly stumbled upon a blogger who made Nigella's simple cheesecake and suddenly it just popped in my mind that I wanna bake cheesecake during the weekend and it's definitely Oreo Cheesecake, the cake I wanted to try bake for so long.

I googled for the recipe and macam2 jenis method and recipes ade on the topic. Agak pening jugak nak pilih mana satu. At last, I tried to modify the recipe of my own. What I did was I still used my favourite plain cheesecake recipe (for the cake base I always use Oreo & butter) and I sprinkled Oreo's crumbs onto the batter. Voila! There you go Oreo Cheesecake !! Easy peasy schmeazy! Trust me, it's sinfully sedaaappp!! *Yums*

Spending Quality Time With Encik Suami

I love spending time with my one and only Encik Suami. We normally go out on Saturday and on Sunday malas nak kuar cos tak nak letih since esok tu nak keje..hehehe..soo typical me!

Actually, the initial plan was to spend the Saturday with my office besties, going for food hunting but due to unavailability of one of our friends, then the plan has to be cancelled and to be rescheduled later. So, Encik Suami suggested that we both carry on with our own plan. Spending our own sweet time together. So we started with breakfast. I got to pick the place where I wanna eat so I chose Village Park Restaurant at Uptown Damansara. I went there a few times already and I really like the nasi lemak. Kiranya so far nasi lemak Gembira kat Shah Alam tu pon kalah...hehe. Bila kitorang sampai jer, dah nampak orang tengah beratuh panjang. Encik Suami dah menunjukkan rupa beliau yang agak kelat-kelat masam dah and I definitely knew the sign! Beliau sangat tidak suke menunggu / beratur panjang. Usually I am the one who do the queuing up but today beliau sangatlah baik hati dengan menyuruh saya yang pergi chop tempat. Lucky we managed to secure a place for us to eat. Alamak, lupa nak tangkap gambar nasi lemak tu lah. Sorry ek!

Then lepas tu we all shoot to OU to watch the most recent talked about film, REAL STEEL. Yeah you heard me...REAL STEEEELL babeh! I've heard so many reviews actually about this movie. Kat mana lagi kalo bukan di laman mukabuku and also twitter. I've also seen the trailer like months ago and Encik Suami really2 anticipated the movie. For me, the reason why I nak sangat tengok is because ada Hugh Jackman aka Encik Wolverine aka Charlie Keaton. *drool*... Despite the super oh-some trailer, the movie proved to be really good..i mean great! It was super-double-duper awesome! Seriously, if I were to give a rating, I would rate 4.5 / 5.0! A must watch movie!

Later after movie, Encik Suami and I decided to go out lunch and this time he got to pick the place. And so he chose Al-Rawsha. I haven't been to Al-Rawsha for quite a while and since dia dah moved to Pandan, I never got the chance to go. Encik Suami memang dah lama sangat mengidam so today dapatlah rasa the famous Chicken Mandy.

Encik Suami ordered Chicken Mandy and Pepsi while I ordered Istanbul Kebab and Nepolean. Talking about Chicken Mandy, the rice portion is still banyak but the chicken is smaller even though 1/2 chicken. Istanbul Kebab plak is actually meat kebab, wrapped in tortilla together with grilled green chilli served with sour cream. The taste is marbeless I tell yooouuuu!! Encik Suami memang suka tp disebabkan portian dia cam besar semacam, I didn't finish it but Encik Suami did! Dia plak tak habis nasik dia & I boleh rasa jgk. Ala2 sistem barter gitu.hehe. Napolean plak is a drink, a combination of strawberry & mango. Taste quite OK but it's too thick. On top of Napolean dia letak whipped cream and slices of strawberries. Memang agak tak kedekut kalo tengok whipped cream dia. Super thick tapi I don't really fancy it cos rasa coffee. Memang tak leh masuk! Ergghh! OKlah, tak nak ckp panjang2, let the pictures do the talking...:)

Could It Be That Bad?

Encik Suami laughed his ass off when looking at this picture...*frown*

Personal Satisfaction

When we talk about personal satisfaction, it could be in many ways. You can satisfy yourself in term of what you eat, what you drink, what you wear, what you bought or even you may mean it by your sex drive!

My own interpretation of personal satisfaction today is in term of items that I bought which could be considered pricey for my wallet. Hah! For some people it's not so pricey lah cos they bought something which is even pricier (is there such word as pricier??? haha). Ok nevermind.

To tell you the truth, I never spent on something which goes beyond RM500. The max I could go is RM400 when I treated myself to a pair of GUESS watch last 3 years when I got my very first pay. The most expensive handbag that I carry pon only costs me like RM200++ je. Itu pun yang paling mahal! But last 2 years, my father-in-law bought me a BONIA handbag. Yeah yeah...I know it's a makcik-makcik punya brand...haha but BONIA bapak mahal jugak. The bag costs like RM600++ kot kalo tak silaplah. Time tu first time jumpa Encik Suami punya family and terus dapat hadiah handbag BONIA you ollss!!

My 2-year-old BONIA buddy
Pastu plak, when COACH was first introduced in Malaysia, I considered..well most of us considered it as a branded item. Ye la kan. kata designer bag!! What I did to feast my eyes was to buy lifestyle magazines and drooling myself to such elegant, pretty and nice handbags. Tapi lately, COACH dah jadi macam everybody-can-own item since the inception of many online boutiques yang dah macam cendawan tumbuh di kala selepas hujan and the price offered is much cheaper than its own boutique. :)

Mula-mula macam tak berani jer nak beli sebab harga cecah lebih RM500 kan!! Tapi selepas tolak campur darab bahagi segala, maka TERBELI lah my 1st ever COACH bag... Melayang gak la duit..Huhuhuhu. Tapi takpelah. Bak kata orang, sekurang-kurangnya ade gak satu. Merasa la jugak pakai COACH.

Coach Poppy Collection
1st Acquisition
I thought that would be the first and the last COACH for me but it os NOT!! Last June my sister went on a holiday to the USA and she apparently bought so many bags, mostly COACH for herself and also to buat bisnes. She even bought like 12 bags for herself! Crazy kan? Bestnya...kalaulah I ikut skali dulu mesti balik-balik Malaysia jer memang poket kering sekering-keringnya! Since I telah dilantik secara rasminya untuk menjaga kesejahteraan rumah Puan Aryanti dan Encik Azmat, guess what I got from the US!!!!

Tadaaaaa!!!

Bila dah berkecimpung dalam bidang-bidang mengumpul branded items ni, it has become sooo addictive. Maybe COACH is the beginning to many more. Honestly, my favourite brand is none other than MARC JACOBS tapi mahal sangatlah. Tak mampu mak nokkk!

Last but not least, last week I finally got my COACH lanyard!! RM90 jer. My sister kirim to her friend who travelled to the US and she kirim for me too!! It's just too cute and super shiny..I'm loving it!!!
I think I mumbled too much already. Till then...papai!!

Big Bad Wolf Book Fair 2011

I went to Big Bad Wolf Book Fair 2011 last Saturday at MAEPS, Serdang and apparently it was the last day of the fair. Actually, I never heard of it pon before this. Kalau tak silap kan, tak pernah pon such book fair ade kat Malaysia ni. Yang common pon macam MPH / Borders Warehouse Sale. But it's ok... Nak dijadikan cerita, I managed to get Encik Suami to bring me to BBWBF eventhough I know he doesn't like crowded places. Memang menepah maut lah kalo nak ajak dia pegi tempat-tempay macam tu.

Al maklumlah tempah sejarah lama...hehehehe (Yang, jangan marah saya pleasseeee!!)

Last-last, sampai jugak kami ke MAEPS tu. Nak masuk pintu masuk dia pon kereta dah bersusun-susun. Hadoiyaiiii!!Nasiblah tak yah nak beratur lelama. Punyalah luas MAEPS tu, sayup mata memandang. Dah parking keta tu, kena plak naik shuttle untuk ke Hall A tempat BBWBF tu. Challenging betul hari kitorang that day. Dengan panas teriknya. Memang terbaeeekkklah kata Encik Suami.

Sesampai kat Hall A tu kena plak beratur adik kakak hoiii!!! Tapi I would like to applaude the organizer since they can manage the crowd properly. Even beratur nak masuk pon, tak lama sebab beratur sambil jalan. Sebaik saja kaki melangkah ke dalam dewan besar tu memang boleh tengok banyakkkk giler buku yang ade ranging from Romance novels, Dummies Collection, Photography, Cookery, Young Adults, Children, Religion, yada yada and the list goes on. Tapi sad to say, good books were all taken already cos memang dah sold out. Ingatnya nak jugak cari cookbook by Chef Wan ke tapi the thing is, sume cookbooks are all international. You can see books from famous chefs like Nigella and Gordon Ramsey.

Bile tengok price memang lah mata berpusing-pusing dengan kemurahan yang berbaloi-baloi. All hardcover books sangat murah, RM25 je. Itu pon paling mahal among all the books. Pusing punya pusing and setelah menengok muka Encik Suami yang sudah kelat-kelat masam sebab pening ngan ramai orang, maka I pon end up dengan 4 books jerrr...

Sophie Kinsella's Collection
&
Easy Home Baking

For Shopaholic and Sister tu, I bought through Groupon. Apparently cheaper by RM1 jer. Kalo kat BBWBF tu diorang jual RM8 but I got it at Groupon for RM7. Oklah tu kan?? Most novels kat situ memang harga RM8 jer. Hmm..memang murah. Sape la tak giler pegi situ kan??? But to conclude, next time kena pegi time awal-awal diorang bukak so that tak terlepas buku-buku yang best-best.

Even though dapat 4 books jer but I came home a happy bunny!! Thanks to BBWBF for such a good service. Please come again. I will sure to visit you again!!

Home-Made Hot Chocolate

Tonite Mr. Hubs requested for a mug of hot chocolate...I can say that MILO can be considered as hot chocolate too but tonite I'd like to try this home-made hot chocolate recipe which I saw on a blog. It's really easy peasy, simple and it tastes exactly like the one in Starbucks! Yeah...I kid u not okay. It is homely (not clinically!!) proven! Here's the recipe for such a delicious & yummayhhh hot chocolate :

Ingredient

Full cream milk / low fat milk
Semi sweetened chocolate (or cocoa powder)
A pinch of cinnamon powder
Sugar if used cocoa powder

Method

Boil milk with chocolate in a medium saucepan (I used small pot). When the chocolate has fully dissolved, add in a pinch of cinnamon powder.

There you go. Voila!
